The dataset reconstructs personnel associated with the Basel bonded warehouse (Basler Freilager) between 1924 and 1946. Established by the Basel Chamber of Commerce and opened in 1923, the Freilager formed an important part of Basel’s infrastructure for transit trade. Derived from the records of the Basler Handelskammer, the dataset documents individuals connected with the organisation, their functions, and their recorded periods of involvement. The records make it possible to trace the personnel structure of the Freilager over time, including changes in office-holding and continuity among individuals involved in its administration and operation.
