The dataset is derived from the Schweizerischer Bundeskalender / Staatskalender published between 1901 and 1920. These annual official directories document Swiss diplomatic representation abroad and foreign diplomatic representation in Switzerland, with their structure and level of detail changing across editions. For NOISE, structured extraction was limited to Swiss diplomatic and consular personnel serving in Great Britain and British diplomatic and consular personnel serving in Switzerland. The records include personal names, diplomatic and consular positions and functions, institutional affiliations, locations, and years of appearance, making it possible to trace changes and continuities in Anglo-Swiss diplomatic representation and individual personnel over two decades.
